about

Staying at the Dhikala Forest Rest House is a must if you want to have the most experience when visiting Jim Corbett National Park. Visitors prefer to arrive to and stay at the Forest Rest House at Dhikala, even though the entire Jim Corbett National Park area is home to some of the best hotels and resorts. The Forest Rest House is well-liked by tourists from all over India and overseas since it is situated in the most picturesque area of the Dhikala Zone. Getting a Dhikala reservation is very challenging because of the rest house’s growing popularity.

Planning is essential if you are certain that you will visit this stunning tiger reserve in the state of Uttarakhand. In particular, you should finalize the dates so that you may book a room at the Dhikala Forest Lodge as soon as possible. Online reservations for Dhikala Forest Lodge are typically accepted on the website at least 46 days prior to the actual arrival date. You cannot afford any form of delay in applying and completing the reservation because of the tremendous demand from tourists for the Dhikala Forest Rest House. The fact that reservations are made on a “First Come First Serve Basis” is helpful to know, so you may start as soon as possible to secure a spot! As the Forest Department staff review your Dhikala Online Booking application, don’t forget to provide the necessary documentation!

Only the booking authorities are required to provide the visitors with their booking permits. You can contact the authorities as a visitor at the Corbett National Park Administration desk in Ramnagar. Only after receiving all of the visitors’ documentation do the authorities grant permits. While overseas tourists must present their passports, Indian visitors must present their KYC documents. It’s important to note that the licenses are only valid for a maximum of three days. Prior to receiving a permit, each guest must pay the price of the Dhikala Forest Lodge. Transferring the permits to another person is severely prohibited by the authorities. The permit is also non-refundable once it is given.

The following documents must be provided by each tourist in order to begin the Jim Corbett Dhikala Online Booking process. When completing the Dhikala Forest Rest House Booking application, the Forest Department representatives investigating the booking process search for the following documents:

  • PHOTOIDENTITY DOCUMENTS: A copy of a passport, driver’s license, student ID, voter ID, or Pan card or AADHAR card must be presented by each Indian tourist. These documents are recognized by the authorities as identity cards.
  • When booking a Jeep Safari or any other safari to visit Corbett National Park, the first member of the traveling party must have the same identity document with them.
  • Every other traveler is required to have identification on hand so they can present it if necessary.
  • There is never a transfer of the booking permit!
  • There is no refund for the sum paid as charges.

You must be extremely patient while starting the Dhikala Forest Lodge Booking process to ensure that all the information and associated documents are entered accurately, as any error could cause chaos for you and your loved ones throughout your stay.

Points of Interest

For people who live outside of the Dhikala Zone and want to see the local wildlife, Canter Safari in Corbett is the greatest choice. The 16-seater open-air bus Canter travels between Ramnagar and Dhikala before returning to Ramnagar. Bookings for the Canter Safari must also be made in advance on the official website.

Dhikala is well-known for its expansive grasslands, which are home to a variety of animals, including hog deer, wild hogs, elephants, and spotted deer. Visitors frequently see a wild tiger pursuing a deer or across the meadow.

In addition to providing a great view over the entire Ramganga riverbed and a sizable portion of Dhikala Chaur, the watch tower at Dhikala is ideally situated to allow you to observe the wildlife that has come to graze in the neighboring chaurs. The distance between this watch tower and Dhikala Forest Rest Louse is ten minutes on foot. About fifty yards south of the watchtower is a man-made waterhole, which makes it the ideal location for spotting deer, elephants, wild pigs, and occasionally tigers.

The shortcut from Gairal to the other rest houses west of it leads to Crocodile Pool. Additionally, there is a naturally occurring balcony that overlooks a pool that is nearly always inhabited by crocodiles.

This bush trail leads to the Khinanauli rest house from the foot of the Dhikala watchtower. Tiger sightings are likely to be highest in this area. Its perfect placement between the riverbed on one side and the hills on the other is the reason for this. The majority of the animals cross over here as they descend in search of water. Elephants also frequently visit this track, so if you intend to drive down this route right before sunset in the summer, it’s crucial to be able to reverse your car as easily as you drive it forward. Alongside this route, a pair of Serpant Eagles also had their nest high in a tree. It’s practically a given that this track won’t let you down if patience is one of your strong points.
